  • Do I need to attend all of the events on the schedule?

    The activities we’re planning are optional. You should feel free to spend your time however you'd like.

  • Can I bring a plus-one?

    Due to space limitations and our desire to keep the event intimate, we’re unable to accommodate plus-ones for everyone. We hope you understand!

  • What should I do for childcare?

    We will have a dedicated children’s cabin available on-site Saturday evening, allowing you to continue dancing after their bedtimes. Several of our friends are bringing little ones, so if you'd like to coordinate childcare, please contact Taryn at +1 250-818-7085. She can help you connect with other parents. Alternatively, if you prefer to make your own arrangements, you can visit Canadian Nanny. Tip: Use the postal code V8L 0A7 (Sidney) and set the search radius to 50 km.

  • What is the weather like on Galiano?

    July weather is warm with average highs of 23 degrees C and lows of 11 degrees. There's usually very little rain and it can get quite dry. For this reason, there is a strict fire ban in place across the island during the summer.

  • Will there be cell service or Wi-Fi at the venue?

    Yes, there’s Wi-Fi available throughout the venue, and you should have cell reception as well. Your cell service may vary depending on your carrier, but you should be able to text at a minimum.

  • Can I bring my dog?

    While we love dogs, we kindly ask that guests leave their pets at home. We want the event to be comfortable for everyone—and to ensure that Taryn’s dress remains free of paw prints!

  • Is the venue accessible?

    Golf carts are available to transport guests to the ceremony if needed. However, please note that some steps need to be climbed or descended to access different parts of the lodge.

  • Will there be a shuttle on Saturday?

    Yes, there will be a shuttle on Saturday to pick up/drop off guests staying offsite before the ceremony and after the reception.

  • Is there parking at the venue?

    Yes, there’s plenty of space.

  • Where can I get help applying for a Canadian visitor permit?

    Reach out to Taryn (+1 250-818-7085) and she’ll point you in the right direction.

  • What should I wear?

    We'd love for you to wear cocktail attire to the ceremony and reception, and something festive to the group dinner on Friday. Feel free to keep it casual the rest of the time :)

  • What are you going to do with your last names'?

    Triple-hyphenating our last names sounds fun, but we've decided to keep them as they are.

  • Are you going on a honeymoon?

    Yes, we’re going to Japan!
